Custom Designs

Here at ECon Welding, every order for metal table legs and metal table bases we make is custom, made-to-order based on the specifications you give us. While our standard orders through the website are based on a fixed style, that doesn’t mean your options are limited to what we have shown online. Modifying an existing design or creating a completely unique design is no problem at all and does not come with a premium price tag. 

Custom Modifications

One of the most common requests we receive is to make a slight modification to an existing style shown on the website. This can be as simple as adding a custom size or shape mounting plate to the top of the metal table legs, or adding additional cross members to the top frame of a metal table base. But these modifications can also be more complex, such as using custom size material, or adding custom monograms or logos to a design.

Creating a Design not Shown Online

Our product lineup is constantly growing. We regularly create prototypes and new product designs and add these options to our website. But there are still many designs and configurations that we do not show as standard options on our website. If you see a style you like elsewhere and want us to make it for you, chances are we can recreate it for you.

Completely Unique Design

We will occasionally receive a request from a customer to create a custom design based off a sketch, or computer rendering. This usually isn’t an issue, and we are more than happy to help you with the design phase. As long as the design is physically possible, we likely have the capabilities to make it. If you want to create a unique design for a custom application, we are more than happy to make it for you.

Custom Finishes

The second most popular request we receive in regard to custom requests is for a custom finish. Our products are not going through a bulk finishing assembly line. Every order is hand-finished to match your specifications. Our website finish options show some of the most popular finish options, but you are not limited to those options. When it comes to a painted finish, we are limited on what colors and options are available to us that will hold up well on a metal base, but for powder coated color options, there are tens of thousands of additional colors to choose from. This includes unique textures, such as hammered or vein textures, or color-changing effects, and even glow-in-the-dark options! We also have other finish options such as blackening solutions, or acid-based patinas that can be applied to the metal. If there’s a specific color or finish you are looking for, reach out to us to see if it’s an option we are able to provide, even if it’s not shown on our website.

Custom Design Process

If you are looking to place a custom order, the first step is to Contact Us with the details. We can usually provide you with an estimate based only on a description or simple sketch of what you are looking to have made. Once approved, we will send you a custom invoice detailing the custom project. On more complicated projects, we will also include a 3D rendering and drawing of the proposed design, at no additional charge, for you to approve prior to the actual fabrication of the product.

No Cost Premium for Custom Projects

It should be noted that since all of our projects are made-to-order, making a custom modification or design does not come with a premium cost. For example, specifying a custom height location for the cross bar on our H-Frame Style Metal Table Legs could be done at no additional cost. Or adding an additional cross bar to our Parsons Style Metal Table Base could be done for just the added material and labor costs. There are no one-time setup charges, or custom design upcharges. Custom designs also get put in the same fabrication queue as our standard orders, so there is typically no change in the lead time for a custom design verse a standard product ordered on our website.

The options we have shown on our website encompass many of our most popular options as well as our new styles, but there’s no reason you should feel limited these choices. One of our biggest priorities as a company is to ensure 100% satisfaction with your purchase of metal table legs or bases. This includes the product style and design.
